Business Mobile App Review: Dropbox

By Dana Delduco, CPA

Dropbox is a cloud-based backup service that is fantastic for storing all types of files (documents, pictures, videos, etc.) and enables you to access them from any tablet or computer. It also allows sharing between different users for collaboration on projects, or viewing the photo and video galleries. With varying price levels, a user can decide how much they’d like to use the site, up to 100GB (free for 2GB).

The best feature: when you download the Dropbox app for your other mobile devices, any files uploaded, removed, or changed will automatically sync – a very efficient tool. So, a user can be at the office working on a presentation, upload to the site, then later view the document on the tablet at a different location. Or uploaded photos from a laptop can then be seen on an iPhone.

The website is easy to navigate and has solid security, adding to its significant appeal. Take Dropbox for a spin the next time you and your coworkers need to share files.
